About the circuit
Cadwell Park is in the Lincolnshire Wolds - narrow, twisty and steep, often called a miniature Nürburgring. The Mountain, where the track climbs so sharply that cars and bikes leave the ground over the crest, is its signature.
Driving a lap
Cadwell Park is 3.48 km (2.16 miles) a lap in Apex Drawn, with 14 corners: 9 rights and 5 lefts. That makes it a lap heavier on the right-handers - one side of your tyres does most of the work.
Turn 1 is a medium-speed right-hander.
The tightest corner is Turn 13, a right-hand hairpin: brake in a straight line before it, and get the car turned early so you can be back on the throttle as soon as possible.
The longest straight runs from Turn 2 to Turn 3, so the exit of Turn 2 matters more than its entry: a good exit carries all the way down it.
It is a hilly lap, with crests and dips that change where you can brake and how much grip the car has over the top of a rise.

Free to race
Cadwell Park is one of the free real circuits: open Apex Drawn, go to Play → Real circuits and pick it - no account needed.
Each car keeps its own best lap on every circuit, so Cadwell Park has a separate leaderboard for the GT, the Formula car, the kart and the hatchback. Start in the GT, which forgives a mistake; the Formula car is quicker everywhere but punishes a missed apex.
Signed in, you can also export it as a track for BeamNG.drive or Assetto Corsa, with its hills, kerbs and barriers.
