About the circuit
Brands Hatch is in Kent, in a natural bowl that began as a dirt track for motorcycles in the 1920s. The Indy circuit is the short loop round the bottom of the bowl; the Grand Prix circuit adds the long run out through the woods. Paddock Hill Bend, the plunging right-hander at the start of the lap, is one of the best-known corners in Britain.
Driving a lap
Brands Hatch GP is 3.90 km (2.42 miles) a lap in Apex Drawn, with 9 corners: 6 rights and 3 lefts. That makes it a lap heavier on the right-handers - one side of your tyres does most of the work.
Turn 1 is a medium-speed right-hander.
The tightest corner is Turn 4, a left-hand slow corner: brake in a straight line before it, and get the car turned early so you can be back on the throttle as soon as possible.
The longest straight runs from Turn 4 to Turn 5, so the exit of Turn 4 matters more than its entry: a good exit carries all the way down it.
It is a hilly lap, with crests and dips that change where you can brake and how much grip the car has over the top of a rise.

Coming soon
Brands Hatch GP is in the Grand Prix Circuits pack, which isn't on sale yet. You can see it in Play → Real circuits in the game, and race the free circuits there today.
Each car keeps its own best lap on every circuit, so Brands Hatch GP has a separate leaderboard for the GT, the Formula car, the kart and the hatchback. Start in the GT, which forgives a mistake; the Formula car is quicker everywhere but punishes a missed apex.
Signed in, you can also export it as a track for BeamNG.drive or Assetto Corsa, with its hills, kerbs and barriers.
