About the circuit
Castle Combe is in Wiltshire, laid out round the perimeter of a wartime RAF airfield, and has been racing since 1950.
Driving a lap
Castle Combe is 3.00 km (1.86 miles) a lap in Apex Drawn, with 8 corners: 6 rights and 2 lefts. That makes it a lap heavier on the right-handers - one side of your tyres does most of the work.
Turn 1 is a medium-speed right-hander.
The tightest corner is Turn 3, a left-hand slow corner: brake in a straight line before it, and get the car turned early so you can be back on the throttle as soon as possible.
The longest straight runs from Turn 8 to Turn 1, so the exit of Turn 8 matters more than its entry: a good exit carries all the way down it.
The lap rises and falls gently - enough to feel the car go light over the crests.

Coming soon
Castle Combe is in the Club Classics pack, which isn't on sale yet. You can see it in Play → Real circuits in the game, and race the free circuits there today.
Each car keeps its own best lap on every circuit, so Castle Combe has a separate leaderboard for the GT, the Formula car, the kart and the hatchback. Start in the GT, which forgives a mistake; the Formula car is quicker everywhere but punishes a missed apex.
Signed in, you can also export it as a track for BeamNG.drive or Assetto Corsa, with its hills, kerbs and barriers.
