About the circuit
The Aintree motor-racing circuit in Liverpool runs round the famous Grand National racecourse, and held the British Grand Prix five times between 1955 and 1962.
Driving a lap
Aintree is 2.45 km (1.52 miles) a lap in Apex Drawn, with 4 corners: 3 rights and 1 left.
Turn 1 is a slow left-hander - a heavy braking zone, and on the first lap the place most races are won and lost.
The tightest corner is Turn 1, a left-hand slow corner: brake in a straight line before it, and get the car turned early so you can be back on the throttle as soon as possible.
The longest straight runs from Turn 3 to Turn 4, so the exit of Turn 3 matters more than its entry: a good exit carries all the way down it.
The lap rises and falls gently - enough to feel the car go light over the crests.

Coming soon
Aintree is in the Club Classics pack, which isn't on sale yet. You can see it in Play → Real circuits in the game, and race the free circuits there today.
Each car keeps its own best lap on every circuit, so Aintree has a separate leaderboard for the GT, the Formula car, the kart and the hatchback. Start in the GT, which forgives a mistake; the Formula car is quicker everywhere but punishes a missed apex.
Signed in, you can also export it as a track for BeamNG.drive or Assetto Corsa, with its hills, kerbs and barriers.
