About the circuit

Knockhill is in Fife and is Scotland's national motorsport circuit, opened in 1974 - short, hilly and blind over the crests.

Driving a lap

Knockhill is 2.03 km (1.26 miles) a lap in Apex Drawn, with 6 corners: 6 rights and 0 lefts.

Turn 1 is a medium-speed right-hander.

The tightest corner is Turn 6, a right-hand hairpin: brake in a straight line before it, and get the car turned early so you can be back on the throttle as soon as possible.

The longest straight runs from Turn 6 to Turn 1, so the exit of Turn 6 matters more than its entry: a good exit carries all the way down it.

It is a hilly lap, with crests and dips that change where you can brake and how much grip the car has over the top of a rise.

Race it

Coming soon

Knockhill is in the Scotland & Northern Ireland pack, which isn't on sale yet. You can see it in Play → Real circuits in the game, and race the free circuits there today.

Each car keeps its own best lap on every circuit, so Knockhill has a separate leaderboard for the GT, the Formula car, the kart and the hatchback. Start in the GT, which forgives a mistake; the Formula car is quicker everywhere but punishes a missed apex.

Signed in, you can also export it as a track for BeamNG.drive or Assetto Corsa, with its hills, kerbs and barriers.
