About the circuit

East Fortune in East Lothian is a former airfield, now also home to the National Museum of Flight.

Driving a lap

East Fortune is 2.31 km (1.44 miles) a lap in Apex Drawn, with 8 corners: 5 rights and 3 lefts.

Turn 1 is a slow right-hander - a heavy braking zone, and on the first lap the place most races are won and lost.

The tightest corner is Turn 6, a right-hand hairpin: brake in a straight line before it, and get the car turned early so you can be back on the throttle as soon as possible.

The longest straight runs from Turn 1 to Turn 2, so the exit of Turn 1 matters more than its entry: a good exit carries all the way down it.

The lap rises and falls gently - enough to feel the car go light over the crests.

Coming soon

East Fortune is in the Scotland & Northern Ireland pack, which isn't on sale yet. You can see it in Play → Real circuits in the game, and race the free circuits there today.

Each car keeps its own best lap on every circuit, so East Fortune has a separate leaderboard for the GT, the Formula car, the kart and the hatchback. Start in the GT, which forgives a mistake; the Formula car is quicker everywhere but punishes a missed apex.

Signed in, you can also export it as a track for BeamNG.drive or Assetto Corsa, with its hills, kerbs and barriers.
