About the circuit
Kirkistown in County Down, Northern Ireland, is built on a former airfield on the Ards Peninsula.
Driving a lap
Kirkistown is 2.40 km (1.49 miles) a lap in Apex Drawn, with 5 corners: 4 rights and 1 left. That makes it a lap heavier on the right-handers - one side of your tyres does most of the work.
Turn 1 is a slow right-hander - a heavy braking zone, and on the first lap the place most races are won and lost.
The tightest corner is Turn 5, a right-hand slow corner: brake in a straight line before it, and get the car turned early so you can be back on the throttle as soon as possible.
The longest straight runs from Turn 4 to Turn 5, so the exit of Turn 4 matters more than its entry: a good exit carries all the way down it.
It is almost flat, so braking points stay the same all the way round.

Coming soon
Kirkistown is in the Scotland & Northern Ireland pack, which isn't on sale yet. You can see it in Play → Real circuits in the game, and race the free circuits there today.
Each car keeps its own best lap on every circuit, so Kirkistown has a separate leaderboard for the GT, the Formula car, the kart and the hatchback. Start in the GT, which forgives a mistake; the Formula car is quicker everywhere but punishes a missed apex.
Signed in, you can also export it as a track for BeamNG.drive or Assetto Corsa, with its hills, kerbs and barriers.
